DashCam Studio ("the App") is a macOS application developed for viewing, managing, and exporting Tesla dashcam footage. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information.
The App does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. All video processing and file operations are performed entirely on your device.
The App only accesses files and folders that you explicitly select through the system file picker or drag-and-drop. No files are accessed without your direct action. The App uses macOS security-scoped bookmarks to remember your selected folder across sessions.
The App uses Apple MapKit to display map overlays based on GPS coordinates stored in your dashcam event files. No location data is sent to third-party servers. The App does not make any other network requests.
The App does not include any analytics, advertising, or tracking frameworks. No usage data is collected or transmitted.
The App does not integrate with any third-party services, SDKs, or APIs other than Apple's built-in frameworks (MapKit, AVFoundation, Vision).
The App does not access your device's camera, microphone, or location services. GPS data displayed in the App is read from Tesla dashcam event metadata files stored on your device.
The App does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
